About Me
My Story
I am an advocate for technology, innovation, and equality in education. As a former public school teacher, I have experience in enhancing classroom learning through curriculum development and technology advancements.
I have spent years creating and designing enticing material to help students learn and retain information. This lead to my pursuits in honing this skill set further through a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Instructional Design & Education Technology. Additionally, I began to create design for small businesses through social media content and front-end web design.
I am passionate about the ways in which technology can create equality in and out of the classroom. I am dedicated to bridging the gap in instructional design methods to become more accessible for all through technology. My research will focus on breaking down barriers that hinder learning opportunities for those that are not ordinarily designed for. Outside of my research, I am a mom of 2 and am actively involved in the Corpus Christi community.
I am always eager to connect with fellow educators, instructional designers, small businesses, researchers and anyone who shares a passion for design, equality through education, or technology!
